Misunderstanding between people of normal size in the G/t community.
There are a some people in the G/t community who appreciate to be normal sized around tiny or giant people. I tend to not call them giants or tinies because that is not what they are just because of my point of view as a tiny to a normal sized person for example. I can imagine that can hurt some people. I think there is a big difference between being normal sized around a giant person or being tiny around a normal sized person.
I like to call them out of their point of view not out of mine. I don’t want to say that it is rude to call a normal sized person a giant just because I am way smaller then they are. Most people may like that very much I can imagine. But some maybe don‘t. That’s why I am very careful with these terms.
For example: Normal sized woman around tiny people called giantesses can be very hurtful for some. I would like to discuss that a little. What is your opinion to that? You like to be called a giant/tiny giantess etc.?
Since I don’t roleplay as myself, I see this from a whole different viewpoint (pun intended):
It makes it even harder to find the material I like, additional to the whole tagging chaos.
Everytime I am happy to find a male giant and it turns out “giant” means “normal sized person” I die a little inside.
Ah yes, this conundrum. I always liked to think that “giant” simply referred to the bigger party and “tiny” the smaller, but no, they’re pretty literal.
Bscly I identify in terms of ratios, with my max size being what it is IRL. And the idea of being a “giant” to a world of tinies is ew to me. Good thing it’s fantasy and I can pretend whatever the hell I want though!
