So I’ve been searching around for G/t stories and I never seem to be able to find really good stuff, and the ones I do find that are quality are few and far between! So, I’ve posted this here to ask:
What are your favorite G/t stories/authors/collections/resources?
(Anything is fine! Fluff, NSFW, I love it all ^^)
I reblogged this one earlier. I love it a ton because it’s sweet and consensual but also REALLY sexy. (Contains lots of nsfw, but it’s also pretty fluffy.)
GlidingMark has a fantastic comic series that he’s been working on for years (and that I’ll signal boost til the day I die) that’s about a world where the men are all shrunken and the women are normal sized. Half of them have formed a group to protect the tinies, the other half are about torturing them. There’s war between the giantesses over the tiny men. WARNING: There ARE very gory and disturbing images/ideologies within this story because of the evil giantesses. But it’s such a great, ACTUAL G/T-CENTRIC STORY. To read the story in order, read first The Game, then The Protectress, then The Offsprings. It’s still a WIP but there’s a ton that’s already done to keep you interested. If you like it, give him lots of love because he devotes so much time and work into this thing for free.
That’s assuming you meant online fan work stuff.
As for general g/t-central media or media that has a strong inclusion of a g/t relationship there’s this:
The Incredible Shrinking Man (old movie, probably a book too. the movie was eh. book would likely be better)
Attack of the 50 Foot Woman (classic, effects are awful but it’s good for a laugh)
Land of the Giants (60s tv show of spaceship crew that land on a planet of giants and their ship crashes and they’re stuck there. it becomes pretty repetitive after a while but it’s fun to watch them use giant things to survive)
Indian in the Cupboard (90s movie, 80s 5-part book series–which is way better than the movie)
Night at the Museum (2000s movie series)
Gulliver’s Travels (book, movie, tv movie–the one with Ted Danson is the best)
Arriety (ghibli film)
The Borrowers (book and movie)
The Atom (Comic book hero, DC comics. The Ryan Choi Atom series is probably the best imo)
Antman (Marvel Comic book hero)
Dollman (another DC shrinky hero)
Shrinking Violet (shrinky comic heroine)
Nanatsu no Taizai (anime with a canon giantess throughout)
Honey I Shrunk the Kids
Honey We Shrunk Ourselves
Honey I Blew Up the Baby
Sword Art Online (anime where the second season has a character in a tiny fairy form)
There’s also this German film that was just reblogged around the community recently that I’ll include here for future reference. (also because I’m watching it right now.) It hasn’t been subbed with English captions yet, but it’s more about the imagery for us, anyway, isn’t it?
THANK YOU SO MUCH YOU’RE THE BOMB!!!!!
>///v///< You’re welcome! (I’ve been obsessed my whole life, so this is what happens.)
Also, I forgot Epic which is a movie that just came out last summer.
update: I READ THE INCREDIBLE SHRINKING MAN and it was soooooo good. I just wanted to protect him the whole time.
I also have more materials to add *starts up a freaking g/t library*:
Fantastic Voyage (book and movie)
Fern Gully and it’s Sequel (animated movies)
Sinbad (the animated film with Eris)
Midori no Hibi/Midori Days (Strange anime about a guy who wakes up with a tiny girl in place of his right hand. It’s pretty dang cute, to be honest. There’s also an episode where they both dream of their places being swapped where he’s her right hand.)
Monsters vs Aliens (animated movie)
the Toy Story movies give off a g/t feel
Disney’s Giant that’s gonna’ be coming out in the nearish future
Shadow of the Colossus (PS2 game, now also available on the computer, I believe)
Thumbelina (animated movie)
Attack on Titan/Shingeki no Kyojin (though it’s really gory and scary for the gentle g/t people out there)
If anyone has any more to add, please feel free!
I just remembered:
Ultimate Avengers & it’s sequel (animated movies. antman and wasp are in them and there’s growing and shrinking. I really like these two a lot)
Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes (animated show)
Avengers Assemble (animated show)
I’ve seen/read a lot of these, but reblogging for the ones I still want to see.
God, I watched Ferngully endlessly as a child. I may or may not have deliberately gone to see Ant Man multiple times, once by myself just because it gave me all the mixed up feels and I couldn’t process my own yearning with other peoples’ desire for chit chat and interaction afterward.
I remember devouring the Incredible Shrinking Man as a book one night when I was a teenager. Stayed up all goddamn night, and without giving spoilers just let me say I felt extremely depressed by the end of it. Maybe it’s one reason why I prefer to imagine tinies and giants who really fucking LOVE size changes. Enthusiastic g/t interactions are the absolute best.
Maybe I’ll write something g/t someday that’s safe enough to be published. Yeah, I should do that. Hmm. *returns to writing g/t smut*
I write a lot of G/t stuff, though almost entirely M/f fanfic. I’ve got 4 WIPs right now:
Body Check is about an Autobot and a human trying to figure out how to even be a couple. To make things even more difficult, the Autobot has to face the fact that he has a sexuality, which makes him an outlier among his people, and that the human must learn to reign in her adrenaline addiction before she gets herself hurt. Meanwhile, a secret government agency is dictating their every waking moment. It’s a sequel to Bushwhacked, the story of how they meet. Body Check is VERY NSFW while Bushwhacked is SFW. (M/f, 15-foot giant.)
The Assistant is the final installment of my Evangelion crackfic series about a weapons engineering intern at NERV who winds up becoming Unit 01′s personal sex toy. The Intern is the first in the series. There’s no plot, but there is character exploration. Mostly, tho, it’s pure smut and a way for me to explore kinks. (M/f, 130-foot giant.)
A Concept of Mind is a Pacific Rim fanfic about a pilot who’s consciousness gets stuck in his Jaeger, and the NB co-pilot who just wants zir friend back. Smutty, but there’s a plot. Oh, and this has two queer mains! (M/x, 240-foot giant)
In Their Shadow is original fic loosely based on Bushwhacked/Body Check, though it will be a story about platonic friends for the forseeable future. But enough about this one for tonight. :V
Aside from me and my infantine attempts at writing, I do have a few favorites not listed above!
Keith aka Missletowe is, as far as I know, among the old guard of M/f, F/f, and M/F/f sizekinky authors of the “shrunken woman” variety. He’s got a profile at AdultFanfiction.net, though I’m not sure where else, and he’s prolific, to say the least.
Avengers Academy is a comic series with a lot of Hank Pym stomping on bad guys and leaning against buildings as he talks students through their emotional meltdowns. I personally can’t stand the soap opera nature of cape stories like this, but it’s got a lot of amazing little Hank moments.
Last Stand of the Wreckers is a pretty self-contained Transformers story about a team of the Autobot’s craziest going on a dangerous (read: suicide) mission to infiltrate a prison that’s been taken over by a powerful war criminal and turned into the 9th circle of hell. Really dark, really gory (if pink still reads as blood to you), but pretty damn good. It’s G/t because one of the Wreckers is a human in a power suit named Verity.
Really, any G1 Transformers comic counts as G/t if it takes place on Earth.
